Wings Stadium India Training

Wings Stadium India Training

For the last two weeks, I have been training in India at Wings Stadium in Bandra. It has been a busy time, as I managed to complete nine training sessions. My longest runs were 10,000 metres and 12,000 metres. For the 12,000 metres, I finished in 59 minutes and 15 seconds, while for the 10,000 metres, I completed it in 51 minutes and 10 seconds. It felt like a lot of running, but I was proud of what I achieved during this training period.

Normally, I train twice a week, but this time, I trained four times instead. It was a big change, and I did a lot of different types of running. Some sessions focused on sprinting, which helped me with my speed, while others were all about long-distance running to build my endurance. Most of the time, I ran on my own because the rest of the group was practising hurdles. Running by myself felt a bit lonely, but it also gave me time to focus on my pace and improve my stamina.

The training started very early in the morning, at 5:30 am. I found it hard to enjoy running some days because I wasn’t getting enough sleep. Waking up so early left me feeling tired, and it made the sessions more difficult than they usually are. Sleep is important for feeling strong and ready to run, so this was one part of the training that I didn’t enjoy very much.

Another thing I didn’t like was the dogs on the track. It was a bit scary at times, and I had to stay alert while running so I wouldn’t accidentally get too close to them. It wasn’t ideal, and it made some of the sessions less enjoyable. I wished there were no dogs around so I could focus fully on my running.

Despite these challenges, I feel like I’ve made good progress over the last two weeks. The extra training has helped me get stronger and faster, and I’ve learned to push myself even when things are tough. Training in a new place like Wings Stadium was an interesting experience, and it showed me how important it is to stay determined, even when there are things that make it harder.

In the end, while it wasn’t perfect, I’m glad I had this chance to train in India. It helped me become a better runner, and I’ve learned a lot about how to keep going, even when things don’t go as planned. Hopefully, next time I’ll get more sleep and have fewer distractions on the track!
